LONDON—GSMK CryptoPhone, a mobile voice security specialist, has appointed Lewis PR as its retained agency in the U.K. after a competitive pitch. GSMK CryptoPhone develops and produces mobile and desktop phones offering end-to-end voice and message encryption with published source code to prevent third parties from tapping in to private phone calls.

Lewis will work with GSMK CryptoPhone to develop a consistent PR approach that will allow the client to increase and broaden its coverage. The agency will combine traditional PR tactics with social media activities to generate awareness, and support key marketing activity in the run-up to key trade shows such as Mobile World Congress and CeBit . Lewis will also deploy a thought-leadership strategy to position GSMK CryptoPhone as the front-runner in the voice security space.

According to Assad Kondakji, sales and marketing manager for GSMK CryptoPhone: “We’ve enlisted Lewis to educate our target audiences around both the need for voice encryption solutions as well as our own product range to help others protect their private and often sensitive information. Lewis was an obvious choice for us due to the team’s expertise in our space and the agency’s close relationship with key media not only in the U.K. but across Europe.”
