TOKYO—Lewis PR has been selected as the agency of record for Linden Lab, creator of the renowned virtual world Second Life, in Japan. Linden Lab launched Second Life in Japan in 2006 and Mark Kingdon, CEO at Linden Lab, says: “Japan has a strong and loyal base of users and Second Life’s potential in this market is tremendous. Lewis developed an aggressive and creative communications program that will further elevate the company's brand and really starts the process of communicating our commitment to grow in Japan.”

Fred Tanaka, General Manager of LEWIS in Tokyo, will lead the program reporting to Jason Link, Linden Lab’s marketing and PR manager in Japan.

Lewis has been commissioned by Linden Lab to develop a communications strategy that conveys the vast and inspiring digital world of Second Life, including deepening understanding of the opportunities that lie within the “metaverse.” In addition, the agency aims to strengthen Linden Lab’s position as the virtual-worlds platform leader.
