In October 2006, Disney Parks kicked off its “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration, designed to capitalize on its renowned level of guest service and leverage its core equity that Disney Parks are the place where dreams come true.

In October 2006, Disney Parks kicked off its “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration, designed to capitalize on its renowned level of guest service and leverage its core equity that Disney Parks are the place where dreams come true. As a vehicle to reach Disney Parks public relations goals for the Year of a Million Dreams, on July 4, 2007, the Department of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Disney Parks hosted a giant U.S Citizenship Ceremony at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Over 1,000 immigrants from more than 75 countries were sworn in as American Citizens on Main Street U.S.A in the foreground of Cinderella Castle. The ceremony included all the key elements of a traditional citizenship ceremony including the formal Presentation of Colors, the National Anthem (performed by Naturalized Citizen, Gloria Estefan), Oath of Allegiance and Pledge of Allegiance. The ceremony also included an address from key-note speaker, Senator Mel Martinez, as well as a rendition of “God Bless the
