NEW YORK—M Booth & Associates has been named public relations counsel in the U.S. by Akzo Nobel, a leading paints and coatings company and a leader in chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The agency account team, led by Mark Schroeder, senior vice president and director of the corporate practice, will lead a brand-building communications campaign to raise visibility for the $15 billion Dutch conglomerate, which employs more than 5,000 people in the United States.

“We turned to M Booth & Associates because of its ability to turn strategy into meaningful results,” says Bill Orr, Akzo Nobel’s U.S. communications manager. “Our goal is to put the Akzo Nobel brand front and center in the minds of corporate and financial audiences by leveraging our global leadership and raising the profile of our US business units, their brands and executive team.”

The public relations program will include media relations, thought leadership, speaking opportunities, marketing communications and industry relations.
