NEW YORK—Lazard, the global financial advisory and asset management firm, has appointed Judi Frost Mackey as senior vice president and director of global communications. Mackey joins Lazard from Hill & Knowlton, where she was the director and senior VP of the firm’s U.S. corporate and financial practice, handling assignments including corporate positioning, issues management, investor relations, transactions, economic development, employee communications and financial services marketing.
In her new role at Lazard, Mackey will lead all internal and external communications across the firm’s businesses in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, aided by Richard Silverman in the U.S. and Richard Creswell in the U.K., both of whom will report to Mackey, who herself reports to general counsel Scott Hoffman..
Prior to H&K, Mackey served as chair of the U.S. corporate and financial practice for Burson-Marsteller, and led Edelman Worldwide’s New York and global reputation management teams. This is her first corporate job and, she says, “it’s a great opportunity and the first time I’ve ever been truly attracted to a corporate position. I was very impressed with the management team here, as well as their belief in the important role of communications.”
