CHICAGO, August 11—Magnet Communications has been retained by Crate and Barrel to develop and implement a six-month public relations campaign that communicates the store’s lifestyle positioning, secures product placements, and supports the launch of four new locations, including New York’s historic Cable Building.

“We’re making a bigger lifestyle statement with the creation of our new freestanding stores,” says Crate and Barrel president Barbara Turf. “These stand-alone buildings showcase a stronger emphasis on our eclectic furniture collection and clearly demonstrate how to live a life with style.”

The campaign will be directed by Magnet’s Chicago office, led by Jennifer Hauser Pfahler, and will include the support of the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices.
