NEW YORK—EuroRSCG Magnet has been named public relations agency of record for Yahoo! HotJobs, a leader in online recruitment.
Magnet competed against Fleishman-Hillard, which handles a host of Yahoo! assignment; MWW Group; and M Booth & Associates for the business.
The assignment will apparently extend beyond standard media relations, with elements including viral marketing, buzz marketing, and high-profile sponsorships. According to Magnet chief executive Aaron Kwittken, “We’re Our work will tap our agency’s strength in media-neutral marketing and our expertise and understanding of the human capital and consumer markets.”
As its first initiative, Euro RSCG Magnet is launching a high-profile promotion for Yahoo! HotJobs called The Big Game Plan. The promotion is part of an integrated marketing program that will award eight lucky participants a chance to closer to their dream career. Organizations such as Star Magazine, Godiva, fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, Epitaph Records, Cargo Magazine, Consumer Reports, and TLC’s What Not to Wear are participating.
The PR firm will promote the sweepstakes through a series of humorous online viral videos that depict awkward or frustrating workplace scenarios.
