LONDON—GCI has named Paul Maguire director, reporting to GCI London chief executive Mark Cater and serving as a member of the U.K. senior management team. Maguire brings a broad range of corporate communication expertise and will further build the company’s growing energy, telecommunications and sponsorship client base..
Maguire joins from a recent freelance role at Cohn & Wolfe following 15 years at Quentin Bell Organisation, which later became QBO Bell Pottinger. He has worked with clients such as British Gas during the deregulation of the utilities market, advised the CEO of Energis prior to the sale of the company to Cable & Wireless, managed BP’s Targetneutral environmental road transport initiative, and led Direct Line’s campaign to expose mortgage insurance bundling.
The firm also added Suzanne Ellis as associate director from Firefly and Amanda Symons as an account manager from Mantra PR.
