MUMBAI—New York-based public relations firm Makovsky + Company has formed a strategic alliance with Concept Communication, one of India’s leading independent communications agencies.”

According to Makovsky president Ken Makovsky: “With over $4 billion of Indian FDI flowing into the United States annually, it is imperative that Indian companies adopt a proactive approach to developing cohesive communications programs in both countries.”

As part of the alliance, Concept plans to establish a dedicated “India Desk” in New York to manage the reputational and communications needs for both Indian multinational companies and U.S.-based companies entering India.

The India Desk in New York is designed to work with North American-based Indian companies seeking to reinforce their reputation management programs; U.S. companies seeking to enter India; Indian companies, listed in the U.S. or contemplating a U.S. listing; Indian governmental programs such as the “Incredible India” campaign aimed at promoting collaboration with U.S. businesses, trade and consumers; and Indian financial services providers.
