Marina Maher Adds Four Senior Staff to Healthcare Group

Marina Maher Communications has added four senior-level professionals to its healthcare practice, including Christopher Rucas, Joanne Marlin and Shirley Stadtmueller as senior vice presidents.

NEW YORK—Marina Maher Communications has added four senior-level professionals to its healthcare practice, including Christopher Rucas, Joanne Marlin and Shirley Stadtmueller as senior vice presidents.

Rucas joins from Genta where he served as director of corporate communications, responsible for all internal and external communications for the company’s lead product, Genasense. Previously, he worked at Ruder Finn where he was responsible for issues management for the Novartis/Gleevec business.

Marlin most recently worked at Shire Health International, where she led the Roche oncology business. She has also worked on numerous blockbuster brands including Lexapro and Claritin.

Stadtmueller was most recently senior vice president at Porter Novelli where she oversaw work for Amgen’s investigational bone loss drug, denosumab, and Baxter’s hemophilia treatment, Advate.  Prior to Porter, she spent 10 years with GCI Group.

Also joining as vice president is Scott Lerman, most recently with Burson-Marsteller, where he directed activities for AstraZeneca’s respiratory franchise.
