ST. PETERSBURG, September 6—MarineMax, the leading recreational boat retailer, has selected Richard French & Associates (RF&A) as its new public relations agency of record. The agency will develop a communications campaign touting the pleasures of recreational boating and the ease with which consumers can begin to enjoy its rewards.

RF&A will support the MarineMax brand from its office in St. Petersburg, opened early last year. The RF&A account team will be led by Jack Glasure, senior vice president and managing director of the agency’s affiliate offices.  The firm previously worked on an assignment for MarineMax in conjunction with Super Bowl XXXV.

“I have always been an advocate for the power of favorable earned media,” says Dawna Stone, vice president of marketing for MarineMax. “I firmly believe that the brand exposure we expect to generate will build participation for the recreational boating lifestyle and bring attention to the many ways MarineMax delivers the boating dream.”
