Martorana to Head Communications at Fortis

Adrian Martorana is joining international financial services provider Fortis as its new general manager of communications. He will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external corporate communications to support the company’s strategy.

BRUSSELS—Adrian Martorana is joining international financial services provider Fortis as its new general manager of communications. He will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external corporate communications to support the company’s strategy. He reports directly to Fortis chief executive Jean-Paul Votron.

Martorana has global and European marketing and communication expertise gained while working with brands such as Jaguar, Duracell, Citibank and Visa. Most recently he was head of marketing strategy and communications with Visa, responsible for rolling-out the new brand architecture across Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to VISA, Martorana was with Citibank as EMEA marketing director based in London and at Duracell where he was head of global brand development.

He is succeeding Eric Bouwmeester, who was named to the new position of general manager, corporate social responsibility.
