NEW YORK—Consumer technology specialist Max Borges Agency is opening its third US office, building on existing operations in Miami and San Francisco with the addition of New York office. The firm has hired Frank Mantero as senior vice president, account services, and Peter DiBart as senior vice president, creative director, to lead the new office.

Agency founder Max Borges says the move was motivated in part by the ability to recruit top talent in the New York area. “Nothing bottlenecks our ability to grow the business like the inability to find high-quality people.” The same approach worked for the agency in San Francisco, he said, where the firm has added 14 people since it opened two years ago.

In addition, the agency cited existing clients in the New York area and the ability to access the world’s largest media market as factors in the decision to open its third office in Manhattan.

Mantero, who previously served as senior vice president of communications and corporate marketing at Ansell Healthcare and held leadership positions at GE and CIGNA, will lead day to day oversight of the agency’s account teams.

DiBart, who joins from Text 100 and earlier spent more than six years with Edelman Digital, will drive the expansion of strategic capabilities and creative solutions. He will also focus on business development efforts and expanded growth opportunities.

The new hires will be joined by other current Max Borges Agency team members, Kristen Mondshein, account supervisor, and Craig Gottlieb, director.

Founded in 2002, Max Borges Agency was initially best known for traditional media relations but has more recently expanded to offer broader branding services as well as social media expertise. The firm now has a team of more than 60 across three offices, serving 80 technology clients.
