NEW YORK—Andrea Raphael, vice president of media relations at Goldman Sachs, was among the new class of managing directors announced by the bank last week.

Raphael joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 and is a vice president in the firm's corporate communications department, with primary responsibility for media relations on behalf of the firm’s investment management and merchant banking divisions in the Americas.  She also works on the firm’s social media efforts.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Raphael was an account supervisor for Dan Klores Communications, where she represented clients such as Universal Studios and Cablevision.  She also worked for WT Blase & Associates, a boutique public relations firm specializing in financial services.
