Media Strategist Metcalfe Joins Weber Shandwick in Chicago

Weber Shandwick has named Kim Metcalfe as senior vice president in the Chicago corporate affairs group. A senior media strategist and former award-winning broadcast journalist, Metcalfe will lead the media relations arm of the corporate affairs team.

CHICAGO—Weber Shandwick has named Kim Metcalfe as senior vice president in the Chicago corporate affairs group. A senior media strategist and former award-winning broadcast journalist, Metcalfe will lead the media relations arm of the corporate affairs team in Chicago and will provide support to clients in the office’s consumer group, as well. She will report to Bryan Specht, who leads the corporate affairs team. 

Metcalfe joins Weber Shandwick from Edelman, where she was senior vice president of media relations, managing the agency’s strategic media relations group for five years, working with a wide range of clients on high-level media strategies and working on the opening of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill.

Prior to her work at Edelman, Metcalfe spent 13 years in television news, writing and producing on both the national and local levels.
