PRAGUE—Michael Mendenhall, president and chief operating officer of advertising agency Lipman and former chief marketing officer at HP, and Anne Villemoes, director of corporate communications at international food producer Danish Crown, have joined the line-up of speakers at The Holmes Group’s first ThinkTank Live, to held in Prague on May 18.
Mendenhall and Villemoes join industry leaders including Harris Diamond (chief executive of Weber Shandwick and Interpublic’s Constituency Management Group), Richard Edelman (president and CEO of independent public relations firm Edelman), Andre Manning (global head of external communications at Philips), and Miles Young (chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide) at the conference, which will focus on The Changing Relationship Between Marketing and PR.
Mendenhall was named president and chief operating officer of Lipman earlier this year and is also a director of the private equity firm which led the March 2011 buyout of the Lipman family to create a new firm that focuses on building brand and seeks to challenge the traditional approach to marketing.
Prior to joining Lipman, he was senior vice president and chief marketing officer at HP, where he directed all aspects of corporate marketing operations globally and oversaw brand strategy, internal and external communications, digital strategy, global citizenship, integrated design, customer intelligence, services and operations, and hp.com.
Before HP, Mendenhall spent 17 years at the Walt Disney Company, culminating in his position as executive vice president in charge of all marketing and communications for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
Villemoes previously served as head of press at FDB, the Association of Danish Consumer Cooperatives, and head of press at the Danish Consumer Council. Earlier, she was a press secretary for the Ministry of Food, Agriculture & Fisheries, and a journalist with Jyllands Posten.
The Think Tank Live conference is free to attendees at the SABRE Awards dinner. Others can make reservations via Eventbrite.
