BOULDER, August 17—Rocky Mountain-based technology public relations and investor relations specialist Metzger Associates has launched a new practice, Metzger Works, that will provide PR and IR services to clients with project-based assignments, targeted budgets or short timeframes. Unlike other similar sounding services that focus on start-ups, Metzger says it will offer its new practice to a range of companies from entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies.

“The philosophy of the Metzger Works program is to quickly accomplish targeted assignments or programs without the increased costs of a full-scale public relations campaign,” says James Clark, president and chief operating officer. “This allows clients to stay on budget, generate meaningful results and be serviced by the foremost high-tech public relations experts in the country.”

Account group manager Ken Hunter and senior account executive Jim Kendrick lead the Metzger Works practice. Employees are not dedicated exclusively to Metzger Works clients, so Works customers will engage with the same public relations pros that power activities for the firm’s largest clients. Works clients can tap into the resources, relationships, knowledge and expertise of a large public relations firm, yet maintain budgets comparable with boutique agencies or freelancers.

Says Clark. “In slower economic times, budgets are tighter than ever, but public relations is more important than ever. Metzger Works is designed to service companies that find themselves in this dilemma.”

Metzger Works has started public relations activities for its first three clients. For Boulder-based Adonis Electronics, the unit is managing media relations activities for an upcoming product launch. For Denver-based Decisioneering, the unit is arranging a media tour for a product launch. The unit is also working for Boulder-based E-Conference, an online meeting management company.
