LONDON—Microsoft’s online services group has appointed Trimedia as its agency to handle marketing public relations activity across seven emerging markets for its MSN and Windows Live brands. The agency has been charged with increasing the profile and take-up of MSN and Live.com services in all relevant markets. Cross country coordination will be managed from the U.K. office, Trimedia Harrison Cowley, and work may extend to other markets during 2007.

Trimedia will be responsible for implementing consumer brand building activity as well as running a comprehensive press office to support the MSN and Windows Live brands. According to Brian Kealy, consumer marketing and PR manager for EMEA, “Windows Live is at an exciting stage of development and growth. Trimedia put forward a high calibre team, matched our geographic footprint, demonstrated experience with big brand names and the expertise and enthusiasm we required.”
