NEW YORK, July 22—Euro RSCG Middleberg, the former dot-com specialist that has been reinventing itself since the collapse of the Internet bubble, has added $1.6 million in fees through the addition of several clients, including Thomson Learning, a leading global provider of tailored learning solutions and a division of The Thomson Corporation.

All recent client wins were the result of competitive pitches. The new assignments cover corporate and financial media relations, strategic branding, and integrated communications programming.

“We have more than 18 businesses and brands under the Thomson Learning umbrella and needed an agency that could handle our significant communications volume,” said Adam Gaber, director of public relations for Thomson Learning.  “After conducting an exhaustive agency search, we chose Middleberg because of the excellent chemistry between our two teams and because the firm understood our business as it stands today and how we want to position it for the future.”

Other new clients include Automated Trading Desk, a trading-technology company created to develop systems and software for automated limit-order trading; Mantas, a leading provider of behavior-detection technology for the financial services industry; and Take-Two Interactive, an integrated global developer, marketer, distributor and publisher of interactive entertainment software games and accessories.

“As the economy rebounds and PR programs take off, the agency has been fortunate enough to participate in a large number of competitive pitches,” said Aaron Kwittken, president of Euro RSCG Middleberg. “Our unique expertise in helping companies use communications to grow their businesses amid significant economic, cultural, and technological change has enabled us to convert those pitches into wins.”

Since the restructuring of Havas operations earlier this year, Euro RSCG Middleberg has been part of Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners, which provides integrated communications solutions.
