Monroe Joins Mylan to Lead Global Public Affairs

Pharmaceutical company Mylan has named Michael Monroe as senior vice president, global public affairs and as a member of the company's senior leadership team.

PITTSBURGH—Pharmaceutical company Mylan has named Michael Monroe as senior vice president, global public affairs and as a member of the company's senior leadership team. In his new role, Monroe is responsible globally for executive, financial and employee communications; corporate branding and marketing; corporate media relations; Internet management, sponsorships and event planning. In addition, he oversees coordination of communications for the company, working closely with Mylan's operating and support units.

 

Monroe served previously as executive vice president, public affairs and chief communications officer for KeyCorp, one of the nation's largest financial services companies. During his 30 year career, he also completed assignments of increasing responsibility at CIGNA Corporation, The American Express Company and AT&T Long Lines Division.

 

Mylan, with operations in more than 90 countries, ranks among the leading diversified generic and specialty pharmaceutical companies in the world.
