MS&L Adds Six to Healthcare Practice

MS&LGroup has expanded its healthcare practice in North America, which suffered a series of departures earlier this year, with six key hires, including new senior vice presidents Ellena Friedman, Christine Abbott and Trine Hindklev.

NEW YORK—MS&LGroup has expanded its healthcare practice in North America, which suffered a series of departures earlier this year, with six key hires, including new senior vice presidents Ellena Friedman, Christine Abbott and Trine Hindklev.

 

Friedman is joining as senior vice president, director of the healthcare and life sciences practice and deputy managing director in Boston, responsible for building on client offerings in medical technology and healthcare, and expanding capabilities in biotechnology and life sciences. Previously, Friedman was a senior vice president at Feinstein Kean Healthcare and has more than 20 years of strategic planning experience in the corporate, public policy, crisis management, marketing, and communications sectors. 

 

Abbott joins as SVP, healthcare in the New York office, where she will work on disease awareness education campaigns for the agency’s key clients. Abbott has more than 10 years of experience with Marina Maher Communications and Ogilvy Public Relations, and has spent much of her career in data communications working on FDA approvals, data publicity and issues management.

 

Hindklev, senior vice president, media relations, will focus on providi9ng strategic counsel for key accounts and will be responsible for overseeing MS&L Studios, a full-service production and media training consultancy. Previously, she oversaw the media relations network at Chandler Chicco for six years, and advised numerous pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.

 

In addition, the firm has added Jeff Young as vice president, editorial services for the healthcare practice; Mike Huckman as senior vice president and the director of healthcare media strategy; and Anita Manning as senior strategist.
