NEW YORK—Manning Selvage & Lee has named Glenn Osaki, most recently senior vice president and senior director of the firm’s Asia Pacific operations, as president, Asia Pacific. Osaki will continue to play a key role as a member of the agency’s global leadership team, helping the firm strategize and execute an ambitious expansion plan for China, India, Southeast Asia, and the overall Asia Pacific region.

Since his appointment to the senior regional role in 2005, Osaki has presided over the growth of MS&L’s operations in Asia, which include offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo, and an integrated network of 20 affiliates and partner firms in 14 countries across the region.  He has also played a role in new business wins including China-based Huawei Technologies

A 20-year veteran of MS&L, Osaki was managing director of MS&L’s Los Angeles office for five years prior to moving to Shanghai in January 2005. His Asia Pacific experience includes work for regional clients such as Philips, Sunkist, The Home Depot, Underwriters Laboratories, Beam Global Spirits & Wine and Procter & Gamble. He also managed the high-profile trade missions of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to Tokyo in November 2004 and to China in November 2005.

“Asia represents the fastest growing and most exciting region in the world, for our clients, our agency, and our industry,” says Osaki.  “There exists in Asia an unprecedented opportunity over the next decade to shape the global communications marketplace.”
