MS&L Provides Public Affairs Support to Rail Customers

Consumers United for Rail Equity (CURE), a coalition of corporations, industry groups and consumers , has selected Manning Selvage & Lee’s Washington office as its public affairs partner.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Consumers United for  Rail Equity (CURE), a coalition of corporations, industry groups and consumers , has selected Manning Selvage & Lee’s Washington office as its public affairs partner to provide communications counsel and support.

CURE is working to keep the price of energy, food, automobile, construction and hundreds of other consumer goods costs down by promoting public policies that make railroads more competitive and American manufacturing stronger,” says Donald Hannaford, managing director of MS&L’s Washington, D.C. office.

The coalition that includes electric utility, chemical and paper companies and their customers and is working to protect freight rail customers  from unfair pricing that is ultimately passed on to consumers.

MS&L will provide strategic counsel, media relations support, public affairs and grassroots outreach, research and writing services for the group.
