Murphy to Lead Communications for World Resources Institute

Robin Murphy, an expert in environmental and strategic communications who worked previously with Conservation International, has been appointed vice president for external relations at the World Resources Institute.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Robin Murphy, an expert in environmental and strategic communications who worked previously with Conservation International, has been appointed vice president for external relations at the World Resources Institute, an independent, non-partisan and nonprofit organization developing and promoting policies that will help protect the Earth.

Murphy will lead the organization’s efforts to enhance its communications profile, developing media relations, using innovations in information technology, and promoting messages that draw upon WRI’s wealth of experience with science, policy analysis and on-the-ground initiatives.

Murphy was vice president of communications, marketing and education for Conservation International and also spent 10 years with Porter Novelli working on social marketing and communications.
