NEW YORK—Marketing communications agency Deutsch and public relations firm MWW Group—both owned by Interpublic Group—have formed a joint venture, [email protected], which will leverage the best practices and communications capabilities of each agency and broaden their client offerings, while providing new avenues for their agencies’ clients to deepen dialogues with consumers.
Deutsch will access MWW’s broad public relations capabilities, including specialized practices in consumer lifestyle marketing, corporate social responsibility, investor relations, crisis communications, new media communications and program measurement and evaluation, among others, and MWW Group will provide communication support to select current and future Deutsch clients.
In addition, MWW Group will absorb the Deutsch Public Relations Group and staff and Deutsch becomes MWW’s preferred partner for advertising, interactive, media services, and other marketing needs.
[email protected] will begin with a presence in the New York City office of Deutsch.
“PR consists of so many skill sets dependent on client sector and the nature of projects, pursuing a relationship with a top-flight agency like MWW Group affords us the opportunity to continue evolving our offering,” says Linda Sawyer, CEO of Deutsch. “We were drawn to MWW’s progressive, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, their passion is parallel to ours when it comes to getting business results for clients.”
Adds MWW chief executive Michael Kempner, “By forming this new unit, we now have the ability to work hand in hand with the incredibly talented people of Deutsch. They share our passion and commitment to solving client business problems through the use of strategic, innovative communications strategies. We are thrilled to be partnering with Deutsch on this joint venture.”
