MWW Hires Matzen to Oversee Trenton Office

MWW Group has hired Mark Matzen as senior vice president. Matzen will help lead state and national public affairs and government relations initiatives for clients and will assume oversight and management of the company’s Trenton, NJ, office.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—MWW Group has hired Mark Matzen as senior vice president. Matzen will help lead state and national public affairs and government relations initiatives for clients and will assume oversight and management of the company’s Trenton, NJ, office. He will also work closely with MWW’s Washington, D.C. office on behalf of many of the firm’s clients.

Matzen joins MWW from the New Jersey Governor’s Office where he was most recently deputy chief of staff for Governor Richard Codey, where he was responsible for communication promoting the Governor’s agenda and led the outreach and communication strategies for constituent and ethic groups, served as liaison between the governor’s office and county and municipal governments and was responsible for strategic scheduling. 

Previously, he served as assistant commissioner for legislative affairs with the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
