EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—MWW Group is launching a campaign across all of its offices to improve its environmental performance. The program, Take Charge, Initiate Change, Get Green, will also be implemented throughout the offices of the Financial Relations Board, a brand of MWW Group. As part of the campaign, the firm has rolled out initiatives to reduce waste and conserve energy.

“This year marks our 20th anniversary and we’re celebrating by giving back to the planet,” says Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO. “By taking MWW Group green, we’re doing our part in the effort to fight global warming, preserve natural resources and help create energy independence for our country. Doing our small part to fight climate change doesn’t take a lot of effort.  It just takes a willingness to do the simple things like installing energy efficient light bulbs, turning off the lights at the end of the day and being more conscience of the powerful impact that even a small reduction in energy use can have on our planet.”

As a part of the campaign, the firm has partnered with Carbonfund.org, a non-profit organization that supports renewable energy efficiency and reforestation projects that reduce and offset carbon dioxide emissions. As a result of the firm’s contribution to projects that will offset its carbon foot print, MWW Group is now a carbon neutral company.

The firm is also instituting a number of new administrative protocols concerning energy use and environmental responsibility. It will require that all offices recycle aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles, and where possible, the agency will continue to recycle the hundreds of pounds of newspaper received by its offices. The firm is also changing all bulbs in its offices to Energy Star fluorescent, which use less energy than standard incandescent bulbs. Additionally, through its corporate social responsibility and sustainable technologies practices, MWW Group will continue to help create and implement programs for companies that promote and create green technologies.
