KANSAS CITY—Following a review, Barkley has been named public relations agency of record for the National Honey Board. The assignment includes national media relations, website content development, custom collateral materials, crisis management and consumer research. A new national positioning campaign will be launched in spring 2010.
The National Honey Board is a federal research and promotion board under USDA oversight that conducts research, marketing and promotion programs to help maintain and expand domestic and foreign markets for honey and honey products. The 10-member board, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, represents producers (beekeepers), packers, importers and a marketing cooperative.
