RICHMOND—Carter Ryley Thomas Public has been hired by the International Food Information Council Foundation to promote ACTIVATE, a healthy eating and active living initiative for kids and their families.

“The number of significantly overweight children continues to grow and is now recognized as a critical public health problem,” said Richard Elder, senior director of the IFIC Foundation. “Based on more than two years of research with kids and families, ACTIVATE will provide information that encourages and supports families to move toward healthier lifestyles.

“CRT will be a valuable partner in this effort because of their creative approach to public education and communication and track record of building strong partnerships.”

CRT will focus on reaching opinion leaders, strategic media relations, developing corporate and community partnerships and collateral development.
