WARWICK, RI—New England public relations veteran Gregg Perry has formed The Perry Group, a full-service strategic communications firm that specializes in enhancing and protecting the organizational reputations. The group offers expertise in the areas of community relations, crisis communications, emerging and social media, grassroots and coalition advocacy, issue management, litigation communications, marketing communications, media relations and media training.

Prior to founding The Perry Group, Perry was senior vice president and managing director of the New England office for Prism Public Affairs, a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm, and earlier served as vice president of public relations for The RDW Group, an independent public relations and advertising agency in Rhode Island. Before joining the private sector, he was communications director for U.S. Representative Robert Weygand (D-RI), and chief spokesman for Attorney General Jeffrey B. Pine (R-RI). He also spent 10 years as a broadcast journalist.

The firm will bring together experienced communicators assembled from across the country, including media relations professionals, strategists, lawyers, writers, marketing, branding and creative arts specialists, as well as political experts. Among those working with The Perry Group are former Rhode Island Attorney General Jeff Pine and former Iowa Democratic Attorney General Bonnie Campbell.
