LOS ANGELES—Fisker Automotive, a new environmentally-friendly automotive company that unveiled its new $80,000 plug-in hybrid at last month’s Detroit Auto Show, has selected Rogers & Cowan as its agency of record. The entertainment public relations specialist will plan and implement ongoing public relations campaigns to launch Karma and other Fisker automobiles into market.
“We are very excited to be the first car company in the world to produce a luxury car that can drive 50 miles with zero emissions, when the car is charged every evening,” says chief executive Henrik Fisker. “We wanted to work with an experienced agency and chose Rogers & Cowan for their proven track record, dedicated team and passion for Fisker Automotive.”
Fisker will draw on Rogers & Cowan’s strategic communication, media relations, ambassador building and event management capabilities as Fisker prepares for several trade shows and official unveil of the car in the U.S. and Europe. The agency will also work closely with Fisker Automotive to attract North American and international lifestyle press for the company’s green activities.
Heather Krug, senior vice president at Rogers & Cowan and head of the consumer division, will lead the Fisker Automotive account out of the agency’s Los Angeles office.
