New L.A. Live Marriott Selects GolinHarris

The JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles at L.A. Live has hired GolinHarris as its public relations agency of record for pre-opening and grand-opening activities. The agency is charged with developing public relations strategies to support the property.

LOS ANGELES—The JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles at L.A. Live has hired GolinHarris as its public relations agency of record for pre-opening and grand-opening activities. The agency is charged with developing public relations strategies to support the property, which will be a highlight of the L.A. Live project—an entertainment, sports and dining district—and the rejuvenation of downtown Los Angeles overall.

 

The partnership will be led out of the agency’s Los Angeles office by its travel, tourism and hospitality practice, which has represented brands including the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, Las Vegas; The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas; and The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

 

“The combination of GolinHarris’ hotel experience and deep history with Downtown Los Angeles makes this partnership a perfect match,” says Karen Englund, director of sales and marketing, JW Marriott at L.A. Live.  “Because this hotel will serve as the focal point for what is soon to be a major destination on the West Coast, we needed an agency with the talent, expertise and contacts to help make our entrée into the Downtown Los Angeles market.”
