New Roles for Babbit, Golden at GCI

Ellen Golden has been named executive vice president and director of GCI’s North American consumer marketing practice and Joel Babbit has been named GCI’s North American chief creative officer.

NEW YORK—Ellen Golden has been named executive vice president and director of GCI’s North American consumer marketing practice and Joel Babbit has been named GCI’s North American chief creative officer. 

Golden joined GCI Group in 1999 to start a consumer health business within the healthcare practice and brought with her more than 15 years of experience with companies such as Merrill Lynch, Burger King, AT&T and Johnson & Johnson. In 2000 she was named head of the New York consumer marketing practice. 

Babbit joined the GCI family in 2002 following Grey’s acquisition of 360 Thinc, the Atlanta-based marketing firm in co-founded in 1995. He splits his time between Grey Global Atlanta, where he is president and chief creative officer, and GCI. In his new role he will be responsible for advancing the quality of GCI’s creative product.
