New Roles for Nicholas, Kelly, McCoun at FDMW

FD Morgen-Walke has restructured its management team, promoting Anton Nicholas to chief executive officer, appointing Declan Kelly as president and naming Gordon McCoun senior managing director and director of investor relations.

NEW YORK—FD Morgen-Walke  has restructured its management team, promoting Anton Nicholas to chief executive officer, appointing Declan Kelly as president and naming Gordon McCoun senior managing director and director of investor relations. The moves come three months after FDMW named a new leadership team with Nicholas and McCoun at the helm in senior managing director roles.

Kelly, a veteran of management positions at Fleishman-Hillard and founder of two Irish investor relations firm, will now join them, and will assume responsibility for management of the firm’s
operations. He will also retaining company-wide responsibilities, including chairmanship of FD Ireland and supervision of the international new business initiative.

“Under Anton and Gordon’s direction, FD Morgen-Walke has seen unquestionable business growth during the third and fourth quarters of this year, as evidenced by the number of recent high profile new business wins, including MEMC, Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, GMAC and Sports Authority,” said Charles Watson, CEO of FD International. “In short, we have put in place the necessary foundation from which the business can move forward into its next phase of development and growth.”

In his new role, Nicholas, formerly chief operating officer will be focused on the management of the client-facing aspects of the business and will oversee the firm’s account teams. McCoun will be primarily responsible for quality control, product and service development and, in particular, supervising the continued enhancement of the firm’s investor relations offering.

In a separate announcement, FD International has named Nina Mitz as chairman and managing director of Financial Dynamics France. Mitz was European and international communications adviser to, and spokesperson for, three successive French economy, finance and industry ministers.
