PHILADELPHIA—Vox Medica, one of the largest independent health-care communications companies in the country, has created a new business unit focused on offering strategic guidance and insight to its pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other healthcare clients. The unit will be headed up by Rhoda Dunn, who was formerly responsible for Vox Medica’s business development activities.

“Our clients have increasingly been seeking assistance with greater strategic insight into the ways in which they can ensure that their products and services are well integrated into and highly valued within the changing health-care environment,” says Donald Phillips, chief executive. He says Dunn and a small group of colleagues in the strategic solutions unit will be focused on issues that include corporate strategies and messaging, competitive intelligence, communication planning, and early-stage product development and branding strategies based on marketing intent.
