Nomura Names Wingate to Lead Public Affairs

Financial services giant Nomura Holding America has named Heather Wingate as managing director of public affairs. She will lead the company's government affairs efforts in the United States.

NEW YORK—Financial services giant Nomura Holding America has named Heather Wingate as managing director of public affairs. She will lead the company's government affairs efforts in the United States and report to David Findlay, senior managing director and chief legal officer in New York, working closely with the firm's headquarters in Tokyo.

 

Wingate joins Nomura from Citi where she was managing director and head of federal government affairs since 2003. Prior to joining Citi, she was special assistant to the President for legislative affairs in the Bush White House from July 2001 through February 2003. In this position, she promoted the President's legislative and policy agenda in the Senate, focusing on the senate judiciary committee, senate finance committee, and senate governmental affairs committee.

 

In addition to her Executive branch experience, Heather also has extensive Capitol Hill experience, including as chief of staff to Senator Sam Brownback.
