Nutrition Expert Kelly Joins Publicis Dalog

Publicis Dialog, which operates one of the nation’s largest food marketing and public relations practices, has hired Lisa Kelly as senior vice president and group management director of its food commodities group.

SEATTLE—Publicis Dialog, which operates one of the nation’s largest food marketing and public relations practices, has hired Lisa Kelly as senior vice president and group management director of its food commodities group.  She reports to Steve Bryant, chief creative officer of Publicis Dialog USA and president of Publicis Dialog Seattle.

As group management director, Kelly will oversee a client roster that includes the United Soybean Board, The Cranberry Marketing Committee, The Hazelnut Council and ZESPRI (New Zealand kiwifruit). She will also assume from Bryant the role of director of the Nutrition Marketing Research Institute (NMRI), a research-driven think tank the agency launched earlier this year to discover better ways for food
marketers to communicate nutrition issues to consumers and nutrition influencers.

Kelly moves to Publicis Dialog after serving six years as director of public health for the International Food Information Council (IFIC), a Washington, D.C., based communications organization
supported by the food, beverage and agricultural industries, where she spearheaded communications programs, professional outreach, research, educational programs and media relations targeted at opinion leaders and consumers.

Prior to joining IFIC, Kelly was a nutrition communications consultant for several organizations including the United Soybean Board, American Dietetic Association, AARP and the Apple Processors Association.
 
Says Bryant, “Lisa is a highly respected food and nutrition policy strategist and communicator who has represented food industry interests at the highest levels.”
