Ogilvy's Lobbying Unit Hires Former Bond Aide

The Federalist Group, the government relations firm acquired by Ogilvy Public Relations in September, has hired Julie Dammann, former chief of staff to Senator Christopher Bond as senior vice president for federal affairs.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Federalist Group, the government relations firm acquired by Ogilvy Public Relations in September, has hired Julie Dammann, former chief of staff to Senator Christopher Bond as senior vice president for federal affairs. She will focus on all areas of federal government relations, including but not limited to congressional relations.

As chief of staff to Senator Bond from 1997 to 2005, Dammann also served as a spokesperson for the Senator and was the primary contact for Senate and House Leadership staff, key administration and White House staff and key Committee staff. She served as primary advisor to Senator Bond for his appropriations committee work, in particular the Transportation, Treasury and HUD Appropriations Subcommittee, as well as the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Environment and Public Works.

When Senator Bond served as chairman of Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Environment and Public Works, Dammann was involved in day to day negotiations on the six year Highway Bill.
