NEW YORK—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has promoted Shellie Winkler to a newly created position that will focus on the firm’s internal organizational development needs. She will be responsible for deepening the firm’s programs in people development and strengthening the agency’s client service offering on a global level.

Winkler’s title will be managing director, organizational strategy and development, and she will report to CEO Marcia Silverman. She will also partner with Ogilvy PR leaders throughout the company to create approaches that will improve client service and satisfaction, and enhance individuals’ career paths within Ogilvy PR.

“As Ogilvy PR continues to grow, we are devoted to deepening our commitment to provide excellent client service and enhance the opportunities for our staff by offering challenging, long-term career paths,” says Silverman. “Shellie Winkler is the perfect individual to lead this charge—an Ogilvy PR veteran with a proven track record of unparalleled client service and commitment to staff development.”

Winkler most recently served as group director of the firm’s corporate communications practice in New York. She joined Ogilvy PR in early 2001 as an executive vice president in the healthcare practice.
