SEOUL—Ogilvy Public Relations and leading Korean independent Prain Global have signed a memorandum of understanding for a strategic partnership that will allow the two companies to cooperate on new and existing client opportunities and share employee training programs and other initiatives.

Ogilvy—still the market leader in the Asia-Pacific region—brings an extensive global network to the partnership, while Prain brings expertise in the Korean market.

According to Scott Kronick, Ogilvy’s Asia-Pacific CEO, “Various collaborative projects will be undertaken, which will present great opportunities for mutual growth. Korea is a very important market for Ogilvy.”

Adds Kim Dong Wook (pictured), CEO of Prain, “The agreement with Ogilvy PR, a leading global communications company, will give us a chance to deliver expanded services to our customers through their strong global network, reaching other regions in Asia, America and even in Europe.”

The Holmes Report ranks Prain as the largest PR firm in Korea, and the sixth largest in Asia and number 61 in the world.
