WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has been named public relations agency of record by Virgin America. Ogilvy PR will provide a full range of public relations services, including public affairs, corporate communications, crisis communications, digital influence strategy and special event management.

The account will be led by Ogilvy PR's Washington, D.C. office with support from the agency's Los Angeles office. In 2007, Ogilvy PR provided public affairs support around the airline's certification and overall public relations and event management around the launch of the airline. Ogilvy PR was able to help promote the inaugural flights of each of the airline's six cities on Virgin America's growing route network. Virgin America is planning on adding 30 additional cities over the next five years, including Seattle on March 18.
