Ogilvy Names Darragh to Lead Digital Influence in London

Ogilvy Public Relations has appointed Michael Darragh to the newly created role of head of 360º Digital Influence practice. The appointment follows a series of recent client wins, including Motorola, IBM, Ralph Lauren, Dupont, Grohe, Midori, and Persil.

LONDON—Ogilvy Public Relations has appointed Michael Darragh to the newly created role of head of 360º Digital Influence practice. The appointment follows a series of recent client wins, including Motorola, IBM, Ralph Lauren, Dupont, Grohe, Midori, and Persil.

Darragh has 12 years of digital communications experience in Asia, Australia and Europe. He joins the London HQ from Ogilvy PR/Shanghai where he founded the agency’s 360° Digital Influence practice in China. He has worked on social media and digital communication programs for clients including adidas, the Australian Government, Goodyear, Grohe, Intel, Johnnie Walker, Louis Vuitton, Lux, Pfizer, Pond’s, Presence Switzerland, ProChile, the Spanish Government, State Grid, Tourism New South Wales and Vans.

 

Darragh began his career at a Sydney-based magazine publishing house in the late 90s where he was charged with digitising the company’s print titles, including the Australian edition of Rolling Stone. He moved to China in 2002 and established his own digital marketing consultancy, and later worked at Alcatel-Lucent in Shanghai before joining Ogilvy PR/Shanghai in September 2006.
