NEW YORK--Ogilvy PR is searching for a new MD in New York after naming Kate Cronin to lead the firm's healthcare integration with Ogilvy CommonHealth.

The integration of Ogilvy PR's healthcare practice with Ogilvy CommonHealth aims to create a cross-discipline offering that better serves the needs of healthcare clients.

Robert Mathias, president of Ogilvy Washington and 17-year veteran of Ogilvy PR, will serve as New York’s acting office head throughout the search for a new MD.

Cronin joined Ogilvy PR as healthcare co-head in 2004, adding New York MD duties in 2007. She will join the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide global board and continue to report to Ogilvy PR global CEO Chris Graves, and Ogilvy CommonHealth chairman and CEO Matt Giegerich.

“Beyond the immense expertise required in understanding the healthcare world, our people need to be experts in restrictions and regulations surrounding healthcare communications of all kinds including social media, and it all varies by country," said Ogilvy PR CEO Chris Graves.

"By knocking down traditional agency discipline silos to bring together our healthcare experts across all disciplines from advertising, to direct, to PR, to social, we are creating the kind of cross-discipline offering only Ogilvy & Mather can craft.”
