Ogilvy Strengthens Chicago Consumer Practice

Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has strengthened its operations in Chicago with the addition of Ian Sohn as senior vice president, Kathy Cummings and Johnna Purcell as vice presidents, and Cindy Kosydor as vice president of media.

CHICAGO—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has strengthened its operations in Chicago with the addition of Ian Sohn as senior vice president, Kathy Cummings and Johnna Purcell as vice presidents, and Cindy Kosydor as vice president of media, all in the consumer marketing practice. In addition, Moyra Knight was promoted to senior vice president and group director and Joan Cetera to vice president and deputy group director in the same practice.

Sohn joins Ogilvy from Nokia where he worked for three years to establish the company’s strategic global partnerships with brands like W Hotels and oversaw North American marketing efforts for Nokia’s music and mobile TV efforts. Cummings has worked with agencies such as Publicis, Porter Novelli, LC Williams and Edelman and in-house at Keebler. Purcell was most recently director of corporate communications for the Pampered Chef. Kosydor previously worked at Weber Shandwick in St. Louis, where she was group media relations manager.

Knight has led consumer marketing campaigns for some of Ogilvy’s leading clients including Lipton Tea, Johnsonville Sausage and SAM’s Club.  Prior to joining Ogilvy PR in 2001, she was senior manager of corporate communications at Kraft Foods. Cetera is the client lead on the Bausch & Lomb, Tropicana and Playmobil business and joined Ogilvy in 2004.
