DENVER—Examiner.com, a leading source for local content, has enlisted Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s technology practice as its U.S. agency of record.  Examiner.com appointed Ogilvy PR after assigning several communications projects to the firm in 2010 following a competitive agency review.

The agency will build awareness and preference for Examiner.com with digitally and locally-minded marketers and spotlight the high-quality local content generated by the more than 68,000 Examiner.com content contributors across 240 U.S. and Canadian markets.

According to Suzie Austin, senior VP of content and marketing for Examiner.com, "It was critical for us to find a communications firm who understands the evolving nature of social media engagement to help us bring our message to the marketing and business community."

Ogilvy PR technology practice staff based in Denver and New York will manage the Examiner.com assignment and focus on conveying Examiner.com's value proposition to the digital marketing world.
