NEW YORK—Affect Strategies, a strategic marketing and social media firm, has been selected by Omni Hotels & Resorts to develop and execute a social media strategy to engage meeting and event planners to drive group sales and events for the luxury hotel brand. The social media campaign is part of an integrated marketing effort managed by AvreaFoster, Omni’s advertising agency of record.
“Social media is often neglected by hotels and resorts for meetings and events,” says Tom Santora, chief marketing officer and senior vice president, sales, at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “Omni has been successful in building a strong social following in the leisure travel market, and we saw an opportunity to expand our efforts to create dedicated social media presences for meeting and event planners.”
As Omni’s social media agency for meeting and event planner outreach, Affect develops and manages Omni identities on social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, Affect has spearheaded a proactive blog commenting program to provide resources and content to industry bloggers and journalists and their readers.
