MIAMI—rbb Public Relations has been named agency of record for the Orange Bowl Committee. A not-for-profit, 343-member organization, the OBC operates various community outreach programs, youth sports initiatives and hosting of premier sporting and related entertainment events including the Orange Bowl. rbb will provide marketing and public relations counsel, manage a media relations program, and support sales initiatives while increasing brand equity amongst both local and national audiences.
According to Eric Poms, CEO of the Orange Bowl Committee, rbb was selected for its strategic approach to the OBC's public relations needs and the firm's reputation for delivering bottom line-oriented client results. Additionally, Poms said that the OBC chose rbb for its experience in working with sports, entertainment and not-for-profit clients on national and local levels.
OBC organizes a year-round schedule of events culminating with the Orange Bowl, this year taking place on January 3, 2011.
