Osako Joins Ask.com to Lead Communications

Ask.com, the IAC-owned search engine, has named Mary Osako senior vice president of corporate communications, responsible for setting the global communications strategy for the company and driving all aspects of public relations

OAKLAND, CA—Ask.com, the IAC-owned search engine, has named Mary Osako senior vice president of corporate communications, responsible for setting the global communications strategy for the company and driving all aspects of public relations, including strategic planning, media relations, reputation management, internal communications and industry analyst relations.

Prior to joining Ask.com, Osako served as vice president of corporate communications for Yahoo!, most recently overseeing international and global policy communications efforts. During her tenure at Yahoo!, she also oversaw public relations efforts for Yahoo!’s communications products, online communities, mobile and broadband businesses, and managed communications on a wide range of public policy issues.

Prior to Yahoo!, Osako served in key communications roles at Sprint, managing the company’s consumer and wireless Internet media relations efforts; The Walt Disney Company; the Los Angeles Music Center and SunAmerica.
