PainePR Adds to DirecTV Account

PainePR has announced the addition of Cupertino-based DirecTV Broadband, formerly known as Telocity, to its roster of clients. In addition to managing ongoing public relations activities for DirecTV, a digital satellite television service provider.

  COSTA MESA, August 14—PainePR has announced the addition of Cupertino-based DirecTV Broadband, formerly known as Telocity, to its roster of clients. In addition to managing ongoing public relations activities for DirecTV, a digital satellite television service provider, PainePR also will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic public relations program for DirecTV Broadband, the DSL business newly acquired by Hughes Electronics.
 
Cynthia Rude, senior vice president in PainePR’s Orange County office, and Lillian Cloud, vice president in the Los Angeles office, will oversee the new account.
 
“We have emerged from the volatile DSL industry as a leader,” said Bill Chandler, DirecTV Broadband’s vice president of corporate communications.  “We are very pleased to be working with PainePR, given the agency’s depth of experience, creativity and the results already attained for DirecTV.”
