IRVINE, CA—PainePR has been named public relations agency of record for the Enova brand oil, marketed by ADM Kao, a joint venture originally formed in June 2001 between ADM and a subsidiary of Kao Corporation of Japan.

After a competitive search, ADM Kao selected PainePR to support the launch of new cooking oil, which differs from other cooking oils because less of the oil is stored as fat and more is burned as energy by the body. The public relations strategy will be an integral piece of Enova oil’s January 2005 rollout to consumers as well as food manufacturers for co-branding opportunities.

The account will be based on the West Coast in the agency’s Los Angeles and Irvine offices, headed by Linda Landers, PainePR managing partner and general manager, Irvine, with additional support provided by the firm’s New York and San Francisco offices.
